AUSTIN, BANDS, CONCERT NEWS

And the last hidden gem…

Flosstradamus

I had no idea that a 4pm DJ set could be that fun. They pumped the crowd full of old-school remixes and steady beats that ignited our spirits and had all of us clapping. From “Everybody dance now” to some Jay-Z, they forced the house music that I secretly love in my face with an electronic, powerful beat. You would think bringing back house music from the 80’s and 90’s = cheesy, frat DJ, but you are so very wrong. The crowd was impressed- not only by them but by 3 break dancers who busted out of the crowd and had their own debut/dance war on stage with them; I am always down for some DJs and dance offs. Just a little background on Flosstradamus – apparently it’s a hard to catch a set since I have been trying to hear them for the past year so you can only imagine how high my expectations were at this point. Let’s just say that I felt sorry for NASA having to follow them and actually left NASA early. Sorry, NASA. You rock, Flosstradamus.
