I’m starting to be convinced that I need to date a singer… First Natasha Khan writes a song about being a champion and now Lykke Li hints at understanding Tupac. Step your game up pretty girls! Didn’t know this about her but it all makes perfect sense now…

Anyways, it’s been about a week or so since our last Lykke Li post - a week too long. I forget where I was when I heard this remix, but I wrote it down in my Blackberry and while recapping on the night and deleting any silly phone numbers I may have picked up I came across it. Breaking It Up is one of the more dynamic and inviting tracks on Youth Novels, and like most of the album it’s been victim to both thrilling and mediocre remix. This Punks Jump Up Remix would not be the latter. In it’s original form, Breaking It Up is full of vigor and excitement, this remix is that idea on steriods - Bigger, Stronger, Faster. I usually don’t post dance tracks on Sunday but it’s a holiday weekend and I apparently have to go out again so here’s to keeping up the energy, enjoy.
