Bonnaroo: A little slice of heaven on Earth
During these 4 days, there is no one else in America that experienced what we experienced, saw what we saw. No other 90,000 people will ever feel so connected by music. It’s sacred because it’s a time that everyone’s differences are praised and unique societal outcasts are welcomed. This is Bonnaroo my friends – no hipsters at this party.Only legit music lovers who love music so much that they count down the days to see the bands who have carried them through the hard times, lifted them higher during the high times, and have always been a play button away. Then when you get there, you look around and smile because you realize that you are finally on the same level with everyone around you for once in your life – and they are strangers. You are reminded that there are people who are just like you: people who love to see the sunrise, people who scream to hear an encore, people who like to get lost, and people who are content experiencing the music alone - but with everyone. That is the power of music – and the power of Bonnaroo. The common phrase said by so many over these past days: “It’s a slice of heaven on earth.” Hallelujah.
