BANDS, FEATURED, FEATURED EVENT, MUSINGS

I love a good concert that captures you so much you don’t realize that the sun is rising in the background - and that is exactly what moe. did. They surpassed their 4 am curfew by 2.5 hours. Did not see that one coming. And, the set actually got louder and more energetic as the birds started chirping and the sun poked through the fog. It was a classic case of “please don’t make this end – please play forever.” The circular energy and smiles passing between the band and the audience was euphoric making this one of the best shows I’ve seen during all my years at Bonnaroo. I also found a new respect for their music. I have always seen moe. as a kind of cheesy jam band, but they definitely proved me wrong with their truly amazing musical talent shining through and Manu Chao-like vigor. I’m proud to call myself a newly proclaimed moe. fan. Thanks boys.
