Austin’s rockin’ to Uncle Lucius

AUSTIN, BANDS

This band is truly representative of the Live Music Capital of the World. They are diverse, exciting, genuine and real. Although they are all Texas natives, it is a pleasantly eclectic bunch. There is the Italian drummer with a fro, the red-head hipster cowboy with his sultry rock voice, the Dazed and Confused look-a-like who leads the band with his rhythm guitar, and the sophisticated-cool bass guitarist who doesn’t miss a beat. The music presents a hybrid of blues, funk, & rock all with a country twang to it. I’ve never been a fan of country rock or whatever you call it, however this was more like classic rock with an un-cheesy bit of Texas added in. One song sounded like the delicate guitar chords from “Wish you were here” but then escalated into a rock funk piece. I would say this band is by far the best band that Austin has to brag about.
