Mew – Snow Brigade

Irony: When I landed in New York I hoped I got to see a bit of snow before I left the city. After spending 4 hours in the airport trying to sort things out, I accepted my fate: I was now officially snowed in until monday evening in NYC. Hey, not a bad place to be stuck in, am I right?
Anyway, this little experience reminded me of an epic tune by the innovative danish band Mew, Snow Brigade. I don’t know about you, but in this winter weather I can’t help but find myself constantly missing loved ones and the people or person that gives you that internal sense of personal warmth,
My arms retreat, I wish they were there to hold you. I’ll find you somewhere, show you how much I care.”
The Frengers album dates back to 2003, so to keep it fresh I added my favorite pic from their newest release.
Every time I listen to snow brigade though I get the feeling that Classixx or Boyz Noize should pick it up and drop a greasy remix of it. Well, while we wait, here’s some Mew, enjoy.
