In a capitalist market when a product gets bad the nature of the game is that a better product comes along and replaces it. The slacking product is either forced to become better or get out of the game for good.  The recent bailouts don’t exactly confirm that age old theory but that’s how it’s supposed to work.Relationships are similar, you’re dating someone that was once great but becomes a bore and it’s time to either be alone or find a new toy. Your readiness to leave will either make the boy or girl pick up the pace or you’ll see that it’s just a lost cause. Though for some reason people get comfortable and stay in trapped in the worst of things, but like I said that’s how it’s supposed to work. Fortunately, Canada is also a capitalist nation and Dave P. knows what I’m talking about…

Somehow I ended up at the Gansevoort a few weeks ago and one of those dangerously cute girls walks by me and says something really rated r, I returned the favor and kept it moving. I ran into her 30 minutes later and we kept fooling around when all of a sudden this guy comes up to us acting funny. I looked at the girl and she ignores him so I carry on, the guy walks away. Next thing you know I’m flying over a few couches from a sucker push, I jump up as quick as I fell and catch the guy with a few blows. All my friends rush over and a bouncer saw the whole thing and came rushing in and kick the guy out. As I’m gathering myself this beastly football player type comes over to me and my friends and tells us that he’d been watching that whole thing and that I had been seriously flirting with his buddy’s girlfriend. He said couldn’t get join his friend when he asked him to be his backup because he liked me and the situation. I gave him the real recognize real look, got him a drink and kept talking to the girl. Like my old conductor the late great Dr. Turnbull used to say, “you’re only as good as your last show” so don’t take your girl/guy for granted, enjoy.
