Solid Gold – Who You Gonna Run To?

BANDS

I was at the back room in Cafe Select this weekend and what a good time it was. The DJ was phenomenal and I wish I had gotten his name but I was enjoying the tunes so much that I didn’t care to bother. I don’t know what it is about walking through a kitchen that makes going to a bar that much more interesting but this was one of those places and it rocks. The tiny room feels more like a house party then a bar and since I’ve been on a quest to avoid all that is lame about NYC partying I couldn’t have been more at home.

One of the tracks the guy played was a dub infused remix of Solid Gold’s Who You Gonna Run To? This bouncy version is by Mel Gibson and The Pants and it bangs on big speakers. Dub step is still very underground and the wobble bass will either make you dance like crazy or go crazy. Fortunately there are tracks like this that just have the influence but don’t get too comfortable, that wobble bass is going to take over soon, enjoy.
