Holy Ghost! – Wait & See

BANDS

Holy Ghost! sent me their new song and I wasn’t sure if I was listening to a remix of Chaka Khans Ain’t Nobody or a new track from the upcoming album. DFA as a label is known for bringing it back and the artists never shy away from their influences. Wait & See has hints of that classic 80′s fast life feel,

The song addresses an issue a lot of people have with their love interests. His girl promises she’ll always be upfront with him but he’s not sure if he can believe her. In this situation you have two choices, you can torture yourself with endless thoughts of betrayal, translate that to your relationship and drive your partner crazy -

Now the problems with me are in you?

In my book this approach only makes things worse and as the lyric says all you do is bring that energy to your partner. Overwhelming someone with insecurity in the name of love is not exactly how you show love so sometimes you need to give a little trust do what Holy Ghost! says – Wait & See. So far the Brooklyn kids have released nothing but heat so expect this self-titled album to due April 5th to be a good one, enjoy.
